"भेट कलम" (Bhet Kalam), also known as approach grafting or contact grafting, is a horticultural technique where a shoot from a desirable tree (the scion) is grafted onto another plant's root system while still attached to its original tree. This method allows for the simultaneous growth of both the new branch on the rootstock and the rootstock's own growth, with the new graft only being separated after roots have formed on the scion, making it a stable and effective way to propagate plants like mangoes.
